I love liquid lipsticks. My lipstick collection doesn’t need any new additions but over the past year I’ve been trying out a few new brands and formulas and have been really impressed with the selection that’s out there. Imagine my excitement when Charlotte Tilbury announced the Hollywood Lips collection featuring 10 amazing shades – I had to get some.
Apologies for the sub-par photos in this post – I’m usually better than this!
I’ve been loving Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks for a while and have built a nice little collection so far. I wanted to get some shades of the Hollywood Lips series that were different to some of the others I own and also ones that I could wear every day. I went for Too Bad I’m Bad and Charlotte Darling and I wasn’t disappointed.
Too Bad I’m Bad
Too Bad I’m Bad is a pink shade that is quite deep in colour, great for daytime looks that need something extra. I like that it’s a deeper pink as I tend to wear a lot of bright or pale pinks and this is a beautiful addition to my collection.
As one of the signature shades in the selection this was going to be an obvious choice for me. It’s a lovely nude that isn’t pale or creamy and looks great with every look I’ve tried so far!
It can be difficult to find matte lipsticks that aren’t drying, which is why liquid lipsticks are so popular. Hollywood Lips doesn’t disappoint, and the formulas are very hydrating and pigmented which makes them a dream to wear. They also don’t budge which is important to me and many of you I’m sure. The swatches I put on my hand were still there 12 hours later and even with eating and drinking I didn’t have to apply again during the day. I’d love to see how they fare on a night out, but that will come soon.
You’ll see that the lipsticks come with a great curved brush which is ideal for lining the lips and filling them in for the perfect pout. I prefer when lip colours have wands like this as they make it much easier to get the shape you want. You only need the smallest amount of product on the brush so don’t go overboard like I’ve done a couple of times!
Hollywood Lips are priced at £24, which is the same price as the other Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks. They will last ages which makes them a great investment and because the colours are all beautiful you won’t have the risk of getting stuck with a dud.
I’m loving these new lipsticks so far and really glad that I decided to buy them. Being long wearing, rich in colour with a beautiful finish have made them favourites in my collection already and will be appearing regularly on my feeds!
