The Small Things That Shouldn’t Be Forgotten When Planning A Wedding

When it comes to planning a wedding, there are so many things going on that it’s almost impossible to be able to think of everything at once. Because of this, there’s a temptation among a lot of people to focus purely on the big stuff. Things like the venue, the dress, and the rings, tend to take up most of people’s thoughts during the planning process. Now, there’s nothing wrong with this, in fact, it can be a great idea! However, if you only ever focus on the big stuff and ignore the little details, then you’re never going to be able to make your wedding truly wonderful. It’s the little details that can make your wedding into something special. With that in mind, here are a few little details that you should never forget about when planning a wedding.

Entertainment

Entertainment is one of those things that always seems to end up getting figured out right at the very end when it comes to a lot of weddings, which is strange when you think about just how important it is. Can you imagine a wedding without a wedding disco? Or guests not being able to watch you have your first dance? Make sure that you figure out what kind of entertainment you want at your wedding as early as possible, whether it is a live band, photo booth or something really cool like cocktail bar hire, so that you can secure it without having to do so in some kind of mad rush right at the last minute.

Place settings

The place settings are one of those elements that you could describe as “the eyebrows” of the wedding. You don’t normally notice people’s eyebrows when you’re talking to them, but if they didn’t have any, you’d almost certainly notice that! The same goes for things like place settings. If you don’t have them, or if they’re not really all that inspiring, then people are going to notice, and it will make your wedding venue seem flat. Even if they don’t really know what it is that’s making them feel that way; your guests are almost certainly going to be able to tell when something like that is missing.

The seating arrangement

There’s nothing like being able to bring people together to celebrate the union between you and the person that you love most in the world. Unless of course two relatives who can’t stand one another end up sitting beside each other and get into a raging argument in the middle of the toasts! You need to think carefully about where everyone is going to sit, not just to be sure that you have your close friends and family at your table, but to make sure that people who don’t get along don’t suddenly find themselves to spend the entire evening making awkward conversation.

These things might seem so small that they’re barely worth thinking about but the truth is that if you want to make your wedding into the perfect, special day that you really deserve, then you’ve got to be willing to go above and beyond.
