You only (hopefully) get one chance to make your wedding day one for the ages! As such, you need to work hard to ensure that everything is as perfect as possible. If you succeed, then you’ll have a day where people are constantly saying “wow”; in other words, there’ll be seeing an extension of the love that’s shared between you and your partner! But how do you go about making sure your day falls into this category? By focusing on the biggest details, of course! Below, we take a look at the factors that can take your wedding from ‘good’ to ‘great’.
Pick a Theme
There are a lot of different factors that go into having a great wedding day, and in reality, it can be difficult just making sure that you’ve taken care of all of them! But if you have the energy and time, there’s a lot to be said for picking a “theme” to the day’s proceedings. For example, you could pick a combination of colours – and then have all aspects of your wedding speak to those colours. Or you might prefer to have a more rigid dress code, which you can put on your invitations. There’s a lot to be said for a wedding that looks so uniform!
Get the Venue
You might be waiting for mouths to drop when they see you walking down the aisle, but you’ll have plenty of opportunities to impress before that moment comes! Take your venue, for example. This is the first thing any of your guests are going to see; so why not get off on the right foot? Choose an award winning wedding venue, and people will be impressed from the first moment they arrive for your big day. Your choice of location plays a massive role in the overall feel of the day, so it’s not an issue that you want to rush in to!
On the Menu
There’s plenty of things that people look forward to when they go to a wedding, and none quite as much as the food there’ll be eating! There are plenty of classic wedding food options, but don’t be afraid to push the boat slightly and present a dish that’s a bit more exciting. Of course, you’ll also want to have an option for the less adventurous eaters on your guest list.
That’s Entertainment
After the wedding itself, and after the food, there’s nothing better than getting up and hitting the dancefloor! You’ll want to include a bit of everything, from your own favourite songs to ones that are guaranteed to get people up and dancing. If you’re planning on going through to the early hours of the morning, one of the best ways to keep people is for them to be waiting for a song they love to come on! When you’re getting your RSVPs off people, ask them to include a song they’d like to hear. They’ll pick good ones, we’re sure!
With the advice above, you’re sure to have a wonderful wedding day!
