The Weekly Beauty Round-Up – 27 October 2017

The Weekly Beauty Round-Up – 27 October 2017

It’s that time of the week folks, although slightly late because, well, I’ve been busy. Have you had a good week? I’m just feeling absolutely knackered at the moment, but my body clock refuses to let me have more than 7 hours – even that’s a stretch! This week’s beauty round-up is another lovely bunch of products that you should check out.

If this week features your payday, why not treat yourself to one of my beauty round-up goodies for this week?

1.Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Miss Kensington, £24

I’ve bought a lot of Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks over the last year – the pink and nude beauties are some of the best I’ve seen anywhere really. The formulas are really lovely and hydrating, and the colour lasts for ages.

Miss Kensington was previously only available in the lip trio, but they’ve now been broken into three single lipsticks instead! It wears a bit darker than it looks, so I lighten mine up with the Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Oh Honey from MAC. Ideal for everyday, it’s a classic shade for your collection.

2. Nivea Body Creme, £2.99

This wonder product is one of the goodies you can win in my pamper night giveaway! I’ve been using this as a moisturiser since I was a teen. It’s rich and creamy and exactly what I love! Don’t get me wrong, I do use others too – but I’ll always have a pot of this at home.

It’s consistency is a bit like Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream, so if you loved that, you’ll love this too! Apply to your face and body or anywhere that needs a bit of silliness and enjoy long lasting hydration.

3. L’Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths Heat Mask, £5.99

Now this mask is designed for long hair, but I thought that was discriminatory so I decided to give it a go for the beauty round-up! This is an innovative hair mask that promises to nourish dry hair. It’s a two-step kit comprising of the actual treatment and then a heated shower cap thing that helps the treatment work!

I used it this week and my hair felt really soft and conditioned! Not sure if it’s better than other hair treatments but I enjoyed the heated hair mask part! Ideal for a nice night-in treat or to prep before a night out!

4. MAC Paintpot in Painterly, £16.50

One of the best beauty tips I can give you is to use a cream eyeshadow as a base before you put on any other eyeshadow. I’ve used this approach for years and while I’m not proud of admitting that I have gone to bed in full makeup after a night out, my eyeshadow will always still be pristine in the morning.

If you’re going to choose a product – then I recommend MAC Paintpot in Painterly. It’s a lovely neutral shade that will look amazing under everything. Use a flat brush or your fingers and just sweep across the lid. You can thank me later.

5. Urban Decay Naked Cherry, £42

I was very very lucky to be gifted this as the Escentual #HauntCouture event this week and I’m so grateful for it. I love the Naked palettes (I have 2,3 and Smoky) and the colours in this set are among my favourites right now – pinks, plums and deep burgundys.

All Naked palettes come with an excellent brush that gives a great blend. I’d add this to your Christmas list and drop a hint that you’d like some goodies from Escentual from Santa!

And that’s another week done! Remember, if you’ve got any product recommendations for my beauty round-up, let me know! I’d love to feature your favourites!
